About Drafted ARchitecture

As architects, it’s easy to find yourself smitten with Charleston, SC. And John and Charlie were hooked. They have lived in the Lowcountry for more than 10 years respectively and worked for several well-known, Charleston-area architects, including Chris Rose and Herlong Architects, before deciding to start Drafted Architecture.

John began his career in Charleston working on several hospitality and education projects, including Moultrie Middle School, Seabrook Island Club House, and The Beach Club Charleston. Eventually moving his focus to custom residential around Charleston and Sullivan’s Island. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has served on the board of directors for AIA Charleston. John holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University and is a LEED accredited professional.

Before moving to Charleston, Charlie worked in the North Carolina mountains with a custom residential architect designing lakefront and mountain homes around Tryon, NC. His love of water is what drew him to Charleston, where he has worked on custom residential projects from Kiawah Island to Sullivan’s Island and the surrounding area. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Clemson University and is an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects and a member and past board member of CRAN Charleston (Custom Residential Architects Network).
